Miss Puss

Lucky Nicholas will also get Miss Puss for his birthday today. I found her in almost finished condition among the UFOs this week, just needing an outfit and some eyes. The pattern is nowhere to be found but came from my friend Anna who unlike me is extremely well organized -- siiiiigh. Used up some old stash for the dress.

Little Nicholas Socks

The third pair of Little Nicholas Socks are finished -- just in time for his second birthday on Sunday. I have to admit that little socks are becoming addictive. And what a great way to use up odds and ends of sock yarn. My daughter Sue is even more creative. She made Berry Bear and Sssssharming Snake above with her leftovers.

The basic pattern I've been using is Anke Klempner's 'socks with afterthought heel' because she gives details for several sizes from infant on up. Since I wanted to do the heel as I went, I switched to an old ragg sock pattern of mine for the heel.
